The Celtic Oak Empowerment connects you with the ancient, magickal energies of the Oak tree and the ancient earth energies of Celtic traditions, assisting you to find your inner strength and power, to open yourself to ancient wisdom and knowledge, to find answers, to weather storms, to prevail and find your inner might and majesty.
In Celtic tradition the most revered tree of all was the mighty Oak. For the Celts it symbolised the axis mundi, the connection between heaven and earth. The Oak had its roots anchored deeply into Mother Earth and its branches stretching up to Father Sky. The tree’s roots and branches are a mirror image of one another, stretching and growing as far below ground as they do above.
The Celtic name for Oak is DUIR, taken from the Ogham alphabet, the Celtic Tree Alphabet. DUIR is often translated as door, the Oak symbolises an opening to greater wisdom, an entry to the otherworld. It is thought that the word Druid originates from DUIR. The Druids were those who new Oak Magick and were the guardians of the door.
