In Shamanic traditions trees are held as sacred. They are sacred bridges between heaven and earth. In many Shamanic practises across Siberia and Asia prayer trees are created, these trees are often pine, larch or birch, they are blessed by the Shaman during a special ritual. Shamanic rituals and ceremonies are a means to draw in spiritual presence and blessings. Following the ritual, the prayer tree would be revered as a sacred place where prayers are made and tied to the branches to be carried off to the Spirit realms where they will be heard and manifested into reality.
